Shags grew up in the Pacific Northwest fishing the Columbia River and its tributaries for Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Cutthroat trout and Sturgeon. He’d spend the fall hunting the hills of the Oregon Coast for Blacktail Deer and Roosevelt Elk. He went on to play college basketball in Minnesota for Concordia University. Graduating with a BA degree in Public Relations while trying to fish all of the 10,000 lakes Minnesota had to offer. After graduation, he chased his dream of working in radio to Mid-Missouri.
The last 15 years have been spent building a passionate and loyal Mid-Missouri fan base who love both a good laugh and conservation within the state. He’s brought his love for the outdoors to the masses through his radio show The 96.7 KCMQ Morning Shag and has become a spokesperson for conservation in the state of Missouri and beyond.
Shags has received numerous awards on a local, state, and national level recognizing his talent as an influential voice in Missouri, and serves on various boards for his passion for conservation.

Morning Show: Monday – Friday: 5:30am – 10:00am
Trevor gets up at 4 am every day, Monday-Friday, because he is driven by the opportunity to greet listeners and start their day off in the best way possible. He loves making people laugh and realized early on that he can do that – on a mass scale – on the radio. He started part-time during college at Southeast Missouri State University, and never looked back. To Trevor, the greatest compliment he can receive is to hear from a listener that the morning show he co-hosts “turned their day around.”
Trevor has received numerous awards for his on-air work, including a 2016 Marconi Award by the National Association of Broadcasters for Rock Station of the year and in 2021, Best Morning Show in a medium market by the Missouri Broadcasters Association.
Originally from Ballwin, Missouri, Trevor’s two main hobbies are motorcycle riding and hunting. He and his wife enjoy local restaurants, movies, and keeping up with their favorite TV shows.

This is Chris Kennedy!

Chris Kennedy was born and raised in Moline, Illinois, a small town located on the Mississippi River. His career in radio began in an unexpected way, while he was working at a video rental store in the 80s. During this time, a local disc jockey recognized Chris’s potential and encouraged him to pursue a career in radio. He listened, and while in college for broadcasting, Chris got a part-time job working overnight at the very radio station he had listened to as a kid while getting ready for school! Nearly four decades later, he still works in radio doing his ultimate dream job, albeit with better hours.
For Chris, radio is not just a profession; it’s a platform to give back and make a positive impact on the lives of those around him. Chris has organized numerous radiothons, participated in marathons to fund childhood cancer research, and even completed a 465-mile run, helping raise over $1 million.
Personally, Chris has 3 adult children. He lives in Columbia, Missouri, with his “Mighty Chihuahua.” He enjoys exploring the food scene, having discovered some amazing restaurants that the area has to offer. Though Chris is most comfortable behind a microphone, you’ll often find him with a camera capturing the beauty around him.

This is Doug!
Doug

Doug is a 25 year radio veteran originally from Fargo, ND. He’s been in radio longer than he can remember with most of his time spent in creative services writing and producing commercials. He went to North Dakota State University (Go Bison!) and Brown Institute in Minneapolis for radio broadcasting.
In his radio travels he’s been in Florida, Texas, Arizona and finally in Missouri where he feels much more at home.
He’s married to his lovely wife from Germany who he met on Myspace talking about music (what else?) They both enjoy the great outdoors and watching wildlife. Doug also has a lifelong love for Professional wrestling and used to play drums in a band that played 80’s Hard Rock.
